Apple Opens Siri to Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini — What WWDC 2026 Means for AI Careers

At its WWDC 2026 keynote on June 8, Apple announced iOS 27 Extensions — a framework that opens Siri, Writing Tools, and Image Playground to third-party AI providers through a dedicated App Store marketplace. For the first time, iPhone, iPad, and Mac users will be able to choose Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, or xAI's Grok as the model powering Apple Intelligence system features, selecting their preference in the Settings app.
